I wish to appreciate the love our Father relentlessly continues to demonstrate towards us, his children. He accorded us the opportunity to live beyond the COVID-19 pandemic and it is a clear demonstration of his endless love for us.
I sometimes ask myself if we deserve His love, and truly the answer is that we don’t. But He simply applies grace and unconditionality to us.
Why then should we betray His love by continually fighting amongst ourselves on non-spiritual grounds? I wish to implore each one of us to think deep and resolve to please our Father by moving away from perpetuating the devil’s will which stirs hatred, jealousy, greed, unnecessary arguments and competition amongst ourselves.
I implore all of us to change our attitudes and become doers of the Word and implementers of what He commands us to do and observe the four cardinal rules given to us by the Holy Spirit- which is the love of God-and it should be religiously adhered to at all levels of the Church.
The will of God, our Father-the Chief Apostle is that we love one another with the same love that He loves us with. By so doing, we shall become champions of peace and that will qualify us to be called children of God who are charged with the delivery of salvation to the needy souls who are in bondage and fulfil our Lord’s mission on earth.
Apostles have been called by God so that they become custodians of the Holy Spirit, the spirit of truth, love and forgiveness and not custodians of ‘other spirits. Hence, we are taught by the same spirit not to worship ancestors who gave birth to us but didn’t create us.
The year of Restoration is upon us and we can’t afford to lose faith in the One who restores. I implore the Church to rejuvenate its original understanding and submit itself to the will of God.
